EXAMS INCOMING : PANIC REQUIRED?

EXAMS INCOMING: PANIC REQUIRED?

Introduction

These days if you spot a 15 or 17-year-old I can assure you they would be having a book in their hand and they seem to have a mix of excitement, nervousness, anxiety and a myriad of emotions. Other Teenagers are not much different and seem to have no time for other activities. Panic attacks, nervous breakdowns, and excessive hyperactivity mark this exam season. Is all this really required or it is just a 'herd mentality' case?

Interactions and Discussions- a key to understanding

When was the last time before an exam we had a long and comprehensive conversation with our parents or elder siblings about how we feel,  are we on the right track etc. Sharing is surely a simple way to conceive better ideas and plans along with setting your goals for different situations.
A talk with your teacher even lasting for two minutes would be an eye-opener. Parents who are busy with the daily rat race could also spare a few minutes and rather than talking about studies, could help them share their heaviness and prevent nervousness at the D-day.

Keeping calm and focusing - doing the correct thing.

If we stretch a bow for a long time, it loses its elasticity. We humans are the same in this matter.
Have a little stroll in the garden or play a sport for an hour. This would help you be mentally and physically fit and also happy rather than being a 'bookworm' a nickname one surely does not like.

Studying smart rather than studying more- being intelligent and practical

With time being a luxury, this is one of the most crucial tips as we cannot cram in such a short time.
Mnemonics, shortcuts, and tricks are saviours as they reduce cramming and help you understand more.

Society at a glance

Many people tend to think about their relatives' reactions and rebukes if not scoring well.
The Bhagavad Gita portrays lord Krishna telling us to do the job with utmost diligence without thinking about the fruits of the labour and describes the men doing this as the most intelligent of the class. All high scorers have done this and their effort hasn't gone in vain.

Conclusion

As our honourable PM, Shri Narendra Modi held an interactive session busting myths and sharing his knowledge and wisdom with students, he increased knowledge about examinations among all age groups. This is required for our humongous youth population who represent our nation. The examinations are a tool to check your progress and a key indicator of the magnitude of improvement one requires rather than being a medium to humiliate a person. I hope people understand this as they gear up for their Annual Examinations.
