Innovation and Tinkering ~ Practical aspects of Technology

Tinkering and Innovation- Need of the hour Recently we have witnessed a humongous growth in space technology and we dream to have a colony outside earth but do we need that or probably solve a plethora of problems here. Essentially rather than putting all your funds in high standard technology research we can invest in innovation and Tinkering. This is cheap and also gets a great deal of attention. The younger section of the population can afford low end technologies and resources and make new products. We also need to know that it is very satisfying to do these kinds of tasks and it is even better when you solve problems your community faces. We all are intrigued by the aura of inventors in the 19th and 20th century. They did not have a myriad of resources and faced heavy opposition. We do not oppose people in these kind of endeavours now. It is essential to know that it is not only the government who has to do the task. It has done its part quite well by sponsoring people and

EXAMS INCOMING: PANIC REQUIRED? Introduction These days if you spot a 15 or 17-year-old I can assure you they would be having a book in their hand and they seem to have a mix of excitement, nervousness, anxiety and a myriad of emotions. Other Teenagers are not much different and seem to have no time for other activities. Panic attacks, nervous breakdowns, and excessive hyperactivity mark this exam season. Is all this really required or it is just a 'herd mentality' case? Interactions and Discussions- a key to understanding When was the last time before an exam we had a long and comprehensive conversation with our parents or elder siblings about how we feel,  are we on the right track etc. Sharing is surely a simple way to conceive better ideas and plans along with setting your goals for different situations. A talk with your teacher even lasting for two minutes would be an eye-opener. Parents who are busy with the daily rat race could also spare a few minutes

SAYONARA 2018 , GETTING  CLOSER TO 2020 Introduction 2018 might be another mundane year for you or rather it would have had some special moments and task you would have accomplished, as we inch closer to a new decade get nostalgic and shed a tear or two remembering the times when the technology was awful, phones were ridiculously small and we had no choice but to use internet explorer but we still think we enjoyed more than today. Where are we heading? 2018- A Mixed bag of events 2018 started with the Koregaon Bhima riots which were felt in the western part of India. It also saw the infamous no confidence motion against the government which did not succeed. It was a great deal of mayhem which was caused on A Seemingly ordinary Friday in July and most people took it as a comical episode in politics. We saw a great deal of improvements and Indore bagged the title of the cleanest city of India again. Great leaders and  passed

SoBo- SOUTH BOMBAY : MUMBAI AS I KNOW IT DISCLAIMER: Sorry for the delay and blurred pictures. This post took a long time to write, please excuse me for minor errors.    ए दिल  है मुश्किल  जीना  यहां  ये  है बॉम्बे  ये  है बॉम्बे   बॉम्बे  मेरी जान -  This song sung by Mohammed Rafi and Geeta Dutt has a special meaning for many who simply have fallen in love with this city including me. Flora fountain, Bombay Stock Exchange and old colonial buildings. Introduction Many people would correct me when I call Mumbai "Bombay" but  I  do not change my way of addressing the  "City Of  Dreams". Bombay is an emotion while Mumbai is a city.It gives it an archaic and colonial feel which is now uncommon in this era of technology. Every city is unique and has many feelings attached with it but nevertheless, I  do not hesitate to say that this is my favorite city and I feel to be a resident of it along with being close to it more than my own city.

BAZAAR HOPPING ON A CHAOTIC SATURDAY AFTERNOON Disclaimer- Apologies for the blurriness of the photographs Introduction With the festive time going on, I accompanied my mother to a Bazaar. It was a warm day, very sultry to be precise with no scope of rain that day. To get some festive supplies it was a must to go there. I saw a lot of things which were perhaps normal to me as I have fond memories of going there since I can remember but I thought that I could convey and share many things I have experienced in the form of an article. This post describes a Bazaar in the heart of Pune(erstwhile Poona) from an outsider's perspective. Roaming for supplies The Bazaars or Peths as they are commonly known are very cosmopolitan in nature with all communities such as Gujaratis, Marwaris, Sindhis, Maharashtrians, Tamilians etc. Many temples and mosques are located in this area. Some areas sell particular things and are closed at a fixed day. I was roaming around Raviwa
